Thinking, practicing and living plurilingualism – 3rd edition

Dear colleagues,

We are very pleased to announce the opening of the call for papers for our 3rd international conference dedicated to plurilingualism Thinking, practicing and living plurilingualism, to be held in Brno 6-7 June 2024.

Building upon the success of our previous conferences, "Teaching and learning languages in the shadow of lingua franca" (2019) and "Appreciating Plurilingual Competencies: Current and Future Perspectives" (2022), Masaryk University, Université libre de Bruxelles, and Université de Fribourg/Freiburg are once again joining forces to explore the advances in research in the field of plurilingualism.

The overarching theme of this edition, as encapsulated in the conference title, "Thinking, Practicing, and Living Plurilingualism," aims to delve into various aspects of language didactics, the construction of plurilingual identities, and the broader implications of plurilingualism in different contexts.

The conference will be structured around three main sections to facilitate a meaningful exchange of ideas:

  1. Plurilingualism and Reflexivity
  2. Managing and Enhancing Multilingual Environments
  3. Projects Promoting Multilingualism

You are invited to submit an oral presentation or workshop proposal before 25 February 2024.
